About You
Best feature about this insight week was the depth it went into for GFA/advisory side of IB. If you're sure you want to do advisory banking as opposed to sales and trading this is probably the best Spring Week. It is also a good insight week to do if you want to decide between the two sides of IB.
Stresses a collegiate culture - top tier in friendliness.
Pretty much had bankers/staff around us all the time. Bankers were there to help in project work if we needed it.
Did focus on investment banking quite heavily but also gave lessons on how to do business presentations and how to do 'character-building'.
The Company
Very structured itinerary with flexibility.
Team bonded very well with both other team members and Rothschild staff too.
Character building, how to deliver presentations, teamwork. Developed all of these and more.
In depth work shadowing aided this.
Long term. Excellence. Client first. Teamwork. Constantly told about their main parts of their culture. These came across strongly in most of the presentations and work shadowing.
GFA all the way!
Everything Else
Full reimbursement.
With analysts, associates, directors.
Constant networking opportunities.
Not particularly. But I got a sense that many people made their friends at Rothschild anyway so I'm sure they find some things to do outside work.
Absolutely.
