  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I absolutely loved it! I was given an absolute autonomy on daily basis but still had weekly meetings with my manager to check my progress. Everyone was always there to help!!!

  • Everyone I worked with was really great and very welcoming.

  • I had a desk right next to my manager and could ask her for guidance anytime. We also had scheduled meetings dedicated to my project.

  • I was usually busy.

  • I was working on a project on my own so I was running the show!!

  • I gained invaluable project management skills and everthing that goes with it.

  • Everyone is very cheerful and lovely.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • At the beginning there was induction that lasted for couple of days which was for all interns and gave me a great insight into Cancer Research UK. I then had induction into all aspects of the job in my department and also some more training throughout my internship.

  • Yes, interns organised loads of fundraising activities and socialised in free time.
