  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The atmosphere was great, the office was beautiful and the partners were all very friendly and down to earth. I really enjoyed the negotiations competition and the group presentation.

    • Everyone I spoke to from the firm was very helpful and friendly.

    • There was a lot of Q&A discussion which gave us the opportunity to ask more in depth questions about working at the firm.

    • The open day was a great opportunity to learn about the firm but also improve my commercial awareness.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Everything was timed and well structured. The power point presentation was very informative and it was great that we received a booklet with the slides printed out so we wouldn't have to write everything down.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • I really liked the open day and it's the best I've been to so far. I really enjoyed the variety of activities we got to do and that we had the chance to speak to so many of the firms lawyers.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Although this was not really applicable to the open day, I found the negotiations competition and group presentation very helpful.

    • I really enjoyed the tour of the office and talking with partners and could see myself working there in the future.

    • Speaking to trainees and lawyers and being in the office environment was a very unique way of finding out the culture of the firm.

    • The open day further confirmed that I want to be a commercial lawyer.

    • I was reimbursed

    • There was plenty of opportunity to speak with trainees, associates and partners.

    • We all had lunch with lawyers from the firm and trainees came to our desk to tell us about their experiences.

    • It was nice to see the lawyers had a life outside of work

    • I would definitely recommend the open day to anyone interested in Baker & McKenzie
