The Role
Throughout was given challenging and meaningful work, everything I have done is actually in use or will be used.
Was treated like any other member of the team.
Thoroughly supported throughout.
Although at times extremely busy, never felt over whelmed
Allowed alot of responsibility, which in turned increased my confidence.
Real life experience of systems.
The Company
Good office enviroment, enough going on to ensure working doesn't drag and not roudy enough to affect workload
Scheme set up which allows you to move around the couple, although a bit more could be done in relation to finding different departments
A lot of time was invested in me.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Seems good, I will try once my studies are completed for sure
The Culture
The summer placements, industrial placements and graduates all set up some social activities and as a summer placement i was invited to attend them all, of which there were many! Also my office collegues had a few socials in my time here and i was included in them all and thouroghly enjoyed all of them!
I lived with my parents during my placement so i didnt have to pay rent! The north west must be one of the cheapest places in the country and there are plenty of supermarkets you can pick cheap things up. The beer is cheaper than anywhere i have been in this country too!
There are some good bars and clubs around and can have a good night at not so much cost. Though the number of students out is very low. The average age can be quite high!
There were plenty of socials put on to get involved in, such as paintballing and go-karting plus nights out. There were opportunities to play sport as well, the office played a couple of football games whilst i was there which i got involved in.
