The Role
The work environment at KPMG is truly great, involving a lot of travel and many people that are roughly your age.
Everyone is really friendly and supportive. The culture of the company is outstanding and you truly get the feel these people are your friends.
Not much. Management practically left me on my own.
Although there were some busy days I would say the work-life balance at KPMG is outstanding.
Not much. I mainly had to do spreadsheets and presentations, though that is to be expected from an intern.
I greatly improved my microsoft office skills and I believe that that knowledge will help me throughout my future career development.
The Company
The atmosphere was outstanding. Everyone helps each other and create a team based environment helping time pass a lot quicker.
Not that well organised. During the first couple of weeks it was up to me to find work as I was not even assigned to a project.
Although you do develop some crucial skills during the internship I would not rate the general level of training received as something special.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Quite a good organisation to enter. Offers the opportunity to either develop internally or work for one of their clients (as is often the case).
The Culture
Yes.
Quite expensive as I worked in Canary Wharf.
There were social events every 2 weeks. Apart from those me and the other interns went out once every couple of days.
There was always something going on and If you want to "chill out" after a hard day of work there is plenty to do.
