The Role
The internship was fantastic, so much more than I has wished for.
Throughout the internship my colleagues made me feel very valued, fully encouraging me and listening and responding to all i had to say
The support and guidance was excellent.
During the internship it was normally the perfect balance of busy, however during my visits to other branches of the firm I was left with little or nothing to do quite often.
I was given the perfect amount of responsibility; not too little that I had nothing independent to add, but not too much that I struggled with the weight of the responsibility.
The skills I have learnt go much further than merely accountacy related; the organisation, team work, commitment to deadlines, independence skills i have developed will stay with me.
The Company
There was a constantly good atmosphere within the office; everybody was very sociable and I could always say hi and chat to my colleagues.
Apart from some technical issues, the internship ran smoothly throughout. I always knew what I was meant to be doing, and the office had planned the 8 weeks perfectly so we were always busy and doing different things.
From the first to the eighth week, the training and development I had was great. From health and safety to traning on excell, the firm really showed me I mattered to them.

Great- I have obtained a graduate job with them!
The Culture
There were a few events on whilst I was in the office, but not as many as expected. I had also hoped there would be intern-specific events, but nothing occurred. However we did go for dinner and drinks on the odd occasion.
Nottingham is a really cheap area, with the pay of the internship covering any costs I had.
Nottingham has good night life, which I am used to as a student
There were a few, e.g. exercising, but not as many as hoped.
