The Role
Whilst quiet at times the job was very challenging with each day requiring a fresh outlook.
Whilst in the beginning I was just a lowly student once they realised my potential they pushed and encouraged me to achieve higher.
management were always there for me and regular team meetings, reviews and informal chats ensured that no one was left out of the team.
The workload was quite intense at times, in IT everything had to be done yesterday but it was part of the challenge to deliver.
Initially I started off in a normal role but as I progressed through the year I was given more responsibility and towards the end I was running some projects of my own.
I didn't receive any formal training the skills I learn't and the experiences I had (both within the office and outside) have proved invaluable in the graduate interview processes.
The Company
Very organised and work orientated, but everyone knew how to relax.
i thought it was set up really well, due to the nature of the job
they invested a lot of time and energy, both in planning the internship and by making me attend training courses whilst here.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
i would love to come back
The Culture
yes we went out for a drink as a group whenever we met at the head office for training.
its wasnt too bad, however, London can become expensive if you go out a lot!
I live in the area so i think the nightlife is ok! not that i had a nite out like clubbing with anyone from the firm. we did go for a couple of meals though.
There are many opportunities, but a lot is up to you to make the effort. As the internship is for a short period I was not able to join in as many activities as I would have liked.
