  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed this summer internship programme in M&G, I learned a lot and further developed my team working and coding skills.

    • Both my colleagues and my internal clients were very thankful for what I had done

    • My manager helped me a lot. He introduced me to fund managers who were our clients and told me a lot of good tips at work.

    • My team was slightly busier than other team, on average, I work 10 hours per day.

    • I communicated frequently with our clients to help them fixing problems of existing code and designing and developing new applications for them.

    • I have further developed many skills including coding skills, time management, client facing skills and team working skills

    • People are very friendly and professional at M&G, everyone is happy to help me

    • We had a two days training programme, lunch & learn sessions, and several networking events

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The two days training before joining the desk gave me many ideas about finance industry. I particularly like the lunch & learn sessions which was a good opportunity for me to learn more about M&G and its business.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • We had a summer party with other employees and several networking events with other interns and graduates

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • I didn't stay around the company, since central London is a expansive place to live.

    • There are many bars, restaurants around the company.

    • I was invited to watch cricket and barbecue with other colleagues.
