The Role
Great stretching job role and good opportunities offered but also able to create my own opportunities
Felt very comfortable with my team and the majority of the wider business which made me feel a valuable member of the business.
Outstanding support from my line managers (3 in various seniority) and wider team.
With my job role it was varied but, where possible, I created my own work or assisted in other projects/initiatives currently going on in the business which was great experience.
I received more responsibility than I had expected however, I am grateful of it because it allowed me to really stretch and make the role my own.
Literally, skills for life. Although the technical aspects of my degree were missing, I think professionally and personally that I would struggle to find better development elsewhere on a placement.
The Company
Atmosphere in the office fluctuated primarily due to reorganisations but I don't expect this to be the case now.
Some issues which were brought out, most resolved, but this was the first year the programme has ran so, for a first attempt, very well.
General training and development was excellent however, technical training was a struggle to gain at the beginning but this was called out and was resolved quickly.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Received an offer for the technology leadership graduate programme.
The Culture
I lived with 4 other placement students which allowed us to have a good social life.
Could be cheaper but a lot cheaper than the south!
Good night out, decent array of bars and clubs.
A lot of charity things going on!
