The Role
Poorly managed company with a distinct lack of direction and vision. Woeful commission structure for Banking and Finance division for newcomers. No OTE advertised, no previous success/failures of consultants performance disclosed. Average employee turnover in Banking and Finance division: Less than 5 months.
Immediate colleagues recognise and appreciate input consultants have, senior management however lack understanding and empathy
Very much left to own devices, poor guidance and support
Long hours - 8.30am - 6pm Minimum.
Too much, misguided, un-structured responsibility. Poorly run division, reflecting questionable senior management competencies.
A basic job, requiring little creativity and critical thinking. So long as consultant has good time management, role is essentially a sales role. Repetitive and monotonous.
The Company
Excellent facilities, great fellow colleagues
Client ownership dispersed in unstructured and unfair manner, resulting in large dominance by consultants on-site since 5+ years. Senior management unwilling, or unable to think laterally in order to resolve basic problems.
Consultant = a number machine. "family-style-run-ethical" persona: a myth
