The Role
It was an interesting and useful experience.
Everyone was friendly and they made it clear where my contribution fitted into the team.
Weekly meetings with my manager and there was always someone available to answer questions even if my mentor was away.
There was always useful work to do but I didn't feel swamped by the amount.
About the right amount, not treated like a kid but plenty of support available.
I had no knowledge initially but now have really useful experience of several programming languages which will be useful for my next year at uni.
The Company
Everyone was friendly. Regular Nerf gun fights.
I had no real problems with the organisation.
A significant amount of my internship was spent learning the programming languages I needed and the internship seemed quite focused on my learning.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I haven't applied for a job but would consider it.
The Culture
There were a lot of interns so we organised a few social events. Most interns live in company houses which is good for meeting people.
average to expensive prices locally
Pubs but no clubs. Didn't find anything open past 11 in Enfield, even at the weekend.
Sports and board & card game clubs at lunchtime and after work.
