The Role
A major insight from a very well structured internship, following a very rigorous assessment programme.
I feel that the work I undertook formed an important part of larger projects and this work was appreciated by senior staff.
What I most appreciated was being provided with context of each piece of work, which enabled me to develop a great understanding of strategy and business modelling. Supervisors shared their knowledge freely.
The pool system meant that the interns were well managed and work was balanced. It also meant that I was able to get greater exposure.
I was given great exposure of four teams over my internship, and felt that the work I was doing - contributing directly to pitch books, etc - was a valid and valuable contribution
The insight into this particular area of work will stand me in good stead for a future career. I now know the full extent of commitment and energy required.
The Company
Pressurised and hard working andvery friendly and welcoming.
At every stage tehre was good structure and communication. I felt well looked-after and did not at any time find myself without guidance.
I believe the whole internship was structured with my development in mind, which I appreciate unreservedly.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
I was very pleased to be offered a position, on very flexible terms, following a very competitive internship.
The Culture
Not particularly, but working hours precluded this to some extent.
Working in the City is not cheap, but we were well subsidised with the staff canteen as well as luncheon vouchers.
Very good on the few occasions I was able to leave the office at a reasonable time.
