    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed by internship. Everything was fantastic, including the training and the people. I would highly recommend an internship here.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt hugely valued. The members of the team regularly told me how much they appreciated what I was doing.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support system is great. Everyone has a people manager and a buddy which means you always have someone to ask for support. Even when my buddy and PM were not available, there was always someone from the office who I could ask for support.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was always given work to do and had responsibilities within the team. However, I felt I had a good balance of work as I never felt overloaded with stuff to do.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given far more responsibility than I anticipated. I was asked to go and speak to the clients right from day one, and was given work which is usually assigned to people in their first or second year. At the same time, I knew if I was ever given anything I felt was too much responsibility that I could ask someone for additional help and advice.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have learnt will be invaluable for my time back at Uni and beyond. Particularly when I go back into employment after uni (hopefully PwC) as I have learnt a lot about client relationships and professionalism.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I actually wasn't in the office an awful lot as I was based largely at client sites. However, when I did go to the office I found that everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Overall, the office has a great atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There was great organisation. The HR team were great. We had a three day residential at the start of the internship and three further training days.I felt we were really well catered for.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I couldn't believe how much PwC invested in us, both in time and money. We all had personal laptops etc, and extensive training and development. For example, we had two development days focused to our needs.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • The future prospects are hugely appealing. I am hoping to be offered a job here but if I am not, then I will be very disappointed. I have been so impressed with what I have seen at PwC I would be very keen to come back again.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes a great social scene. We spoke regularly and went out for drinks after office events. I am sure we will all stay in touch and continue to meet up socially.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I cannot really comment on this as I lived at home throughout the internship, but for me the cost of living and socialising was great.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The night-life was great if you wanted to get involved with it, but it was completely optional.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were some opportunities to get involved with activities, however, as I was at a small office there weren't as many opportunities as there would be in larger offices.

    4/5
