  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Your team make you very welcome and part of the team from Day 1. Your work is integral to the functioning of the team which makes you motivated.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Mid term reviews and end of term reviews keep you on track. However, I feel like there could be more feedback given outside of the formal review track.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I think it depends on the desk. My desk is known to be more relaxed than other desks in the same function. Having said that, I always had something to do and was always productive.

  • A lot of responsibility that is integral to the functioning of the team.

  • Excellent skills developed and training that will carry on with me for the future.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There's never a dull moment on the trading floor. A lot of camaderie and slightly noisy at times but it contributes to the atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised. As mentioned, HR does an excellent job in organising speaker series events and also social events.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A week's training at the beginning of the internship. However, I felt that it could be more in depth and desk specific.

    4/5

  • Subsidised Canteen

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Uncertain as we have not received a decision yet

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scenes amongst interns appears to be not as good as other banks. However, there were a few attempts to organise social events.

    2/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive cost of living in Canary Wharf - but that is London.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Buzzing scene in way of bars and restaurants, although I did not experience much of it. More options in central London than in Canary Wharf.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Occassionally. Go karting event and dinner at the Gherkin organised by HR was fun.

    4/5
