    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • From the word go we were treated like a valuable part of the firm. The job is so varied, out on different clients from week to week. Got to meet lots of new people. We spent a few days in Bradenham which was great for improving skills and a great laugh with the other interns.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Each team i worked with gave me my own parts of the audit to complete, so i felt valued in the fact that i was given responsibility for parts of the audit. They were all so helpful and willing to explain anything i struggled with. On several occasions we had lunch out which was a great way to get to know some of my colleagues in a more relaxed out of office environment.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was so helpful and approachable, i met with her several times during my internship.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had work to complete, out on clients there was always more i could do if i did complete what i had been set. At the beginning of the internship we were set a question which we had to research and prepare a presentation to do in front of our managers and some of the partners. So if i ever had a quiet minute i did had my presentation to work on.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I think we were given a good amount of responsibility. When on a client audit i was given specific parts of the audit that i was solely responsible for, but if i got stuck there was always people more that willing to help me out.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • During our few day stay at Bradenham we took part in presentation skills workshops which were invaluable and will help me in so many ways. It helped to built my confidence in presenting and also taught me to be more aware of how my stance is and how i hold myself, which stands for a lot with first impressions.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I got the chance to spend time in two of the office and both were equally as social, everyone was friendly and there was a great atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was well planned, from our induction day, to a corporate responsibility day, few days away at Bradenham to the time we spent out at client sites.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The workshops we took part in at Bradenham were a great way to develop ourselves and to help us with the upcoming presentations to partners which im sure we were all equally worried about.
