  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Very insightful view into how the HOC works!

    • I was given many tasks and responsibility of dealing with both constituents and members of the conservative party.

    • Any problems, people were always willing to help me out and help me understand!

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very structured, every day was different.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • People do tend to keep themselves to themselves, but if you make an effort people will make an effort back!

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Not that much, but still made me feel very welcome. Limited in three weeks in how much a company can invest..

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • There was a year placement intern in the office, and he explained everything I would need to know!

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?

    • Very helpful. I loved how each day was different, and dealing with constituents was different to anything I had done before! Then liaing with MP's and Lords on various projects was very interesting!

    • Very helpful, I much enjoyed the experience and would definitely consider a career in politics.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • It was a voluntary placement, however, I would still suggest that it was worth it.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • If I wanted to meet anyone, or sit in on HOC sessions/PM Q's I simply had to ask the chief of staff. I was also allowed to sit in on meetings and input my views.

    • There were numerous events being held, but some were exclusive.

    • There was lots going on outside of work, due to working for an MP

    • Definitely. I had a great time and it was a fun insight experience.
