The Role
I enjoyed my placement in the office of a prominent Lib Dem MP
I felt valued by the MP himself but didn't feel valued by my supervisor, which was a shame.
Given support by one supervisor and my MP, but the other supervisor was very cold and distant, which made the office environment quite challenging
Very busy - lots of different roles to do each day, which kept us busy
Quite a lot of responsibility, which was nice, as we didn't feel like we were constantly being supervised or watched over.
My political knowledge greatly increased thanks to this internship, which was really helpful for my degree
The Company
A good atmosphere, especially when the MP was in office
Very well organised and good communication with the office for any queries on the internship
Not a huge deal
If politics was for me then I would work here as a researcher, but a career in law beckons!
The Culture
Great social scene - lots of other young researchers to socialise with, which was great
expensive due to central london location
really good - lots on offer
yes - plenty of exciting opportunities offered on a daily basis
