    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great support and encouragement, good balance of teaching and individual tasks, amazing group of people - thoroughly enjoyed it!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Nervous to begin with but after a couple of weeks felt like one of the team and a valued employee.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Fantastic support, one on one tutoring and always there to help with any issues or problems.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Generally had a good work load; at times I felt I lacked something to do but generally these were times such as waiting to be trained in order to complete next part of task.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Just the right amount for an intern. I was challenged but not so much that it caused me to worry.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The placement really made it clear that this is the direction that I wish to go in; something which I had never been sure of before. It also provided me with some basic knowledge which should prove very useful when applying for the graduate scheme and hopefully eventually if I gain a full time job with the company.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always a happy and up-beat atmosphere - able to have the occassional light conversation and ask for help whilst still getting the work done.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was set up very well - the only criticism which I could make would be that occassionally someone would cancel at their alloted time slot and there was no fall-back activity.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I feel that I received the maximum amount of training and development in the given time.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Managed to obtain a second internship next year and will apply for the Graduate Scheme - hopefully obtaining a place.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The Summer Party was a great social event and a lot of fun. Apart from this however there wasn't much of a social scene but this didn't really effect my placement as got on very well with everyone in the office and mostly too tired to go out anyway!

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived at home and commuted.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Quite a lot going on.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really.

    2/5
