The Role
I really enjoyed the whole experience and found that I learnt very much in a short time. Both my scientific theory and experimental techniques improved substantially.
They all looked after me and answered any questions I had.
Again, they looked after me all the time and made sure I was happy.
I had enough time to look over what I was doing but not too much time to get bored.
I was given the task of examining a gene and within a few weeks I was carrying out experiments by myself.
These techniques will be invaluable for my career as a scientist and I have learnt a great amount from the PhD students and post docs about a future in research.
The Company
Scientists work very hard!
I had a clear set up of how my eight weeks would be structured.
They all took the time out of their busy schedules to teach me how to be a good scientist.
I was offered the possibility of doing my third year university project at the lab.
The Culture
Central London is far from cheap!
Average - centre of London is not far at all.
Wednesday softball with all the lab.
