The Role
It was a good internship on the whole because I managed to learn more about investment banking but there could have been more job shadowing during the internship
I didn't have much opportunity to interact with Bank of America Merrill Lynch staff besides the networking sessions but it was a good experience to work in a team for the group project
I didn't have much opportunity to interact with Bank of America Merrill Lynch staff besides the networking sessions
Most of the day was spent attending networking and skills sessions as well as talks
The main responsibility given during the placement was to create a group presentation on a topic of interest
The main takeaway I had from attending this programme was a greater awareness of the responsibilities of the different departments in an investment bank
The Company
It was nice to be with fellow students who are also eager to discover a job in the banking industry
The different activities were run on schedule and there was sufficient time allocated between events so that participants could move from one place to another
The main training for the participants was in the form of the skills sessions conducted (e.g. mock assessment centre, Investment Game etc) and the work shadowing
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Bank of America is a place which values diversity and believes in sustainability so I believe that it would be a good place to work in
The Culture

It was expensive given that the office is located in Canary Wharf!
There are some good bars and pubs near the office
It was nice for Bank of America Merrill Lynch to organise networking activities including a nice dinner for the interns
