    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year with GForces from start to finish. I met a lot of different people who have all taught me a variety of transferable skills that I will keep with me for life.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I definitely felt like a valued member of the team whilst working at GForces. Although I was a student working as an intern I never felt like a minority and made to not feel equal. Every department made me feel welcome.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Throughout my year in industry there was always support including internal training, monthly catch-ups and I knew that I would be able to approach my supervisor with any issues or problems I may have had.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • From day to day my work load varied. During report week I would find myself with more to balance but the work load was always manageable.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Each week we would have internal training meetings which could be for internal or external software that we use.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was professional in that we had to dress smart for work, however it was not an uncomfortable or intimidating place to be. On Friday's we had 'dress down' day which made the office feel slightly more relaxed.

  • The placement was well organised with the help of my placement officer at the university.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
