The Role
I was given my own project to complete and enjoyed the freedom and independence that came with it.
Very welcoming and friendly people and the company is very multi-culturally diverse
Supervisor was always available to answer questions or provide support when needed. Very knowledgeable and approachable.
I always had work to do, but I could do everything at my own pace.
I was given my own project to do during the placement and I was responsible for the success and completion of it.
Most of my work required using the skills I had already developed. However I did get the opportunity to develop and refine my pre-existing skills.
The Company
The atmosphere on my floor was casual and relaxed. I can only speak for my floor in the office, but I was not required to wear formal business attire.
Everything went very smoothly. When I arrived on my first day, I got all set-up, all the paperwork filled out, and I was able to start my work that afternoon.
They were flexible and willing to work around my exam schedule.
Financial Bonus
I had an excellent experience with the company in all aspects.
The Culture
My fellow interns engaged in the office social every Thursday evening.
The company is located in the center of London, and the cost of living (relatively to North America) was very high. However there was a lot of social events and things to do there.
The nightlife is very good. The office is located in the center of London and there are lots of pubs/bars to go to.
The only after work activity I knew of was the social on Thursday's after work.
