  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Good insight into a magic circle law firm, it was just a two-day workshop but it was a great chance to see the firm and meet the trainees and partners so definitely worthwhile - plenty of people to meet.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Valued, in that they had quite a lot of people available to talk to us with presentations and networking sessions - seems like they invested a fair bit of time and personnel into this tow-day workshop.

  • Guidance - in that they had skill sessions such as negotiation workshop which were great fun and also they gave us feedback. Support - they answered any questions you had pretty openly.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Obviously some skill sessions are similar to others held at other firms but they are still fun and informative - good ice-breaker session and depending on how serious you take it you can practice your skills.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured - lots of activities for a two-day workshop with social activities in the evening and networking sessions fitted in around lunch and dinner time, honestly very impressed with timing.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Informative, not completely informal but relaxed enough to be comfortable and it was nice that all the other attendees were in the same year group so it was easy to socialise and met new people

  • Difficult to say since it was only two-days but as mentioned previously lots of support from trainee recruitment and trainees

  • Very helpful got to see the firm, the employees, the work environment - basically a great chance to have an overview of the firm and see whether you think its a suitable work place for you in the future

  • Helpful, in that you could see the approach which they were enforcing and what values they emphasised for - very important for them they heavily emphasised on the quality of their work

  • Helpful in that you could experience the firm for itself and this really helps differentiate one firm from another by actually visiting them and seeing for yourself what it could be like training here and more.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Lots of networking opportunities slotted in during lunch and dinner alongside Q&A sessions therefore plenty of time to get any questions you had prepared answered.
