  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I enjoyed the insight day a great deal because I was given real and true insight of work at Bakers from lawyers with different experience.

    • I always felt very valued during my short time at Bakers because my contributions made in the team were always taken on board and no questions ever asked were deemed stupid.

    • An absolute wonderful guidance/support was given to me at Bakers from everyone starting from Partners to Trainees and of course the HR team in charge on that day.

    • I have great confidence that the skills I have developed at Bakers will allow me to make strong applications from now on and also for future

    • The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Although I was not at Bakers for a long period, I believe they invested a great deal on their open day by making us books, getting us involved in active and real role plays of a trainee lawyer at Bakers.

    • Bakers did not only explain what life would be like working for them but got lawyers of different stages in their career physically involved in the daily

    • Very valuable having spoken to various lawyers and some HR team members.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Although Bakers offered to reimburse my expense, I did not take it as I did not incur any expenses and felt their offer to take me on for an insight day was more of a value.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes. We had lunch with Baker's lawyers and other employees.

    • I discovered Bakers lawyers can get heavy involvement with pro bono work for charity.
