  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • A wonderful and eye-opening experience!

    • When sitting with traders at desks, they each stopped what they were doing and spent an hour of their time explaining and answering any of our questions.

    • Well surrounded and supported throughout the week.

    • The information learnt about how an Investment Bank works really does have applications, and the week spent at RBS has certainly left me in a better position than not having done it!

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • There was a clear purpose to each activity held, and the training early in the week really helped us in the next days of rotations.

    • Every person who interacted with the group was extremely friendly!

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Some of the training was exceedingly high quality, and it did feel as if the bank was investing in our futures.

    • All the employees we shadowed gave us a rundown of their work hours and the work culture of the firm. I now have a clear idea of what to expect.

    • Actually spending time on the trading floor has allowed me to witness first hand what goes on, and reinforced my interest in this job!

    • The option was there, but I did not need to use this facility
