About You
I loved the whole experience, especially the work shadowing. I only reason I did not give ten stars is because I was only just within the M25 so did not receive accommodation but it took an hour and a half to travel in which meant waking up at 5am!
They invest a lot in students and offer many great opportunities.
People were always happy to answer questions.
The insight week was so valuable to me as I wish to pursue a career in banking and will take the knowledge and networking practice with me and apply them to other challenges.
The Company
I liked the first 2 days being theory followed by the second 2 work shadowing because I used knowledge gained to ask questions during the shadowing.
Everyone was friendly and eager to answer questions. I also made friends with other students and will keep in touch.
RBS was very dedicated to spring, summer and graduate internships which made me confident that they value our personal development.
Experiencing the atmosphere first hand helped enormously in deciding whether I would fit in there.
It was a short amount of time but in that time I felt I received a good idea of the values RBS employees hold and was very impressed.
I am certain I would like to pursue a career in banking and hopefully at RBS because I found the week exciting and I learnt so much.
Everything Else
I paid for travel because I live just within the M25
There were many networking sessions with people from all departments of the bank.
There were a sufficient number of people to talk to and food and drink was provided which was enjoyable.
They have a wide range of activities which is encouraging because they have a life outside work!
This insight was informative and I gained insights which I could not unless I experienced the atmosphere.
