    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The talent academy was a tough 3 days which was jam packed with team tasks, but I took so much away from it! It was a great learning experience.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • We worked in teams and each team member showed a high level of respect for everyone.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Facilitators for the days would brief us and would come over to answer any queries we had (provided that we weren't in the middle of a marked timed exercise!)

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The schedule was very full and as soon as we got there it was straight to work. They really made the most of the 3 days!

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • For a number of exercises I volunteered to be the group leader which gave me responsibility over presenting.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Definitely my presenting skills and also networking with people have really been enhanced from this experience.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere during the talent academy was great everyone was really enthusiastic and everyone always had something to talk about.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I cannot fault the way that everything was handled. The schedule was followed pretty much to plan apart from one slightly later finish.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company paid for all meals and activities! So I would say for the 3 days they invested a significant amount in me.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I have been told that I have been short-listed for an interview and that they would be getting in touch.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes! We got to get to know one another over dinner and drinks, as well as meet some of the Partners and Directors of the firm.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • This was generously provided by PwC. I can't thank them enough!

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • We didn't get to sample the nightlife in the local area as this was only for 3 days.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I've been told PwC has activities for employees to take part in after work but as we were in an external location we could not take part in these. The facilitators did organise evening networking events each night.
