    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The internship is a great way to gain a better understanding of the roles carried out by PwC employees in a friendly environment.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All colleagues make you feel at home.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Guidance is given in exactly the right quantities. The important parts of the work are explained but interns are still given autonomy and are left to discover aspects of the work for themselves.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most days a perfect balance was struck. Occasionally there wasn't enough to do but this was due to unavoidable hold ups.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Interns are given just the right amount of responsibility: enough to feel valued and build on experiences from previous weeks, but not so much as to feel swamped.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Given the job offer at the end, I hope they will become skills for life.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was always buzzing. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the mood was great (partly thanks to the Olympics).

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was well organised by brilliant resourcing managers.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm invested a huge amount in each intern holding a residential course at the beginning of the internship and paying a good rate.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • All job offers are conditional on a 2:1 so it was great to be offered one but still have to hold up my end of the bargain!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Everyone was always willing to go for drinks or take part in sports events. There was always something to do!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was in the South East of England - you can't expect too much.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • During the working week it would be difficult to explore the nightlife outside of after work drinks. The other interns and colleagues were constantly organising social events so it was good.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were plenty of opportunities to be involved in sports clubs and magazines if you wanted.

    4/5
