The Role
A fantastic company to work for, great all-round experience.
Managers are incredibly helpful, there is plenty of time to talk with them and even more senior members of staff
Good variety of jobs, kept me on my toes
I was doing exactly the same work as other members of my team and contributions in team meetings were highly valued.
The Company
Lots of socials, over 6 weeks I probably got about 12-15 free meals!
PwC have an incredibly well laid out and prepared internship, everything is organised before you even walk through the door.
A huge amount of resources go into the interns to develop new skills and learn about the industry. PwC want all it's employees to be hugely trained individuals and it shows.
Company Parties/Events
I recieved a job with PwC when I finished. They told us that 95% of interns get a job offer, from what I could observe this is true. This is not the case with most other firms, for some firms offer rates are as low as 10% making it a 6 week job interview!
The Culture
PwC hires a lot of interns (about 400), so if your based in London like I was there will be a lot of social activities going on. I expect there are in other offices too but maybe to a slightly smaller extent.
London is not particularly cheap, as anyone will tell you although as you are all in the same boat you can look for cheap places to eat together- they do exist!
It's London- enough said.
There was always a group of interns going somewhere which you can get involved in or team outings.
