The Role
I was welcomed in to the trading team and given the opportunity to take responsibility for projects.
The team was welcoming and friendly. At the start of my internship I was introduced to all members of the team and I ahve found them easy to talk to and work with.
I have had weekly meetings with my mentor who has given me lots of support and guidance. In weekly meetings we looked at my aims and hopes for the internship and ways of acheiving these.
My mentor ensured I never got bored by keeping my work load at a good level and making sure I was given relevant and interesting tasks.
During this internship I had the right balance of responsibility and support. From the start of the internship I was given responsibility for projects.
The skills gained through this internship will be directly applicable to any marketing on retail job. I have also gained skills transferable to any job such as time management and organisational skills.
The Company
The office atmosphere is friendly and a very nice environment to work in.
The internship started with 2 days induction, I have had weekly meetings with my mentor, a mid internship review, mid internship cv writing course and end of internship exhibition to show work.
The internship included a CV writing course and during weekly meetings with my mentor we have looked at my development aims and worked towards acheiving them.
