  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A really good week where we learnt about the bank, its departments, how they work together and what they look for.

  • Yes we had to work together on a presentation and everyone integrated really well.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There wasn't a huge amount of this, you were expected to work things out for yourself or ask your peers.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Pretty busy, had breaks but days could last till 11pm.

  • Not a huge amount but the same as everyone else in the programme.

  • It was very useful in building my interpersonal and public speaking skills.

  • Young vibrant and very relaxed!

  • Very well organised, everything ran smoothly and you were never sat around bored.

  • There was a lot of time from staff that was invested, as well as a lot of money into providing a successful one week.

  • A very friendly and relaxed firm, but whose reputation has been tarnished of late.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes there were quite a few young people who went out together.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very expensive as it was the City!

  • There didn't seem to be many clubs, just bars.

  • There seemed to be as many as any other investment bank.
