The Role
Learned alot about technology within the firm and how it relates to banking. Learned more about finance and markets than I knew previously.
Atmosphere was very comfortable to work in. Knowing my work would be used gave me a sense of accomplishment.
Management were approachable and made it easy to ask questions.
Project was large and there were alot of different presentations on the business.
I was responsible for my own project management and implementation.
Gained invaluable experience in managing large projects, obtained experience with a new programming technology andlearned how to network.
The Company
There was alot of presentations about the business areas organised throughout the internship.
The technologists were given training on financial markets to help you with your day to day job. If any training came up that you were interested in you were encouraged to sign up for it.

The Culture
Technology interns were always arranging nights out when there wasn't one organised.
London is pretty expensive but pay reflected this.
A few pubs around but for clubs you need to go into central London.
There were events organised by the division that interns were encouraged to participate in.
