    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was an absolutely fantastic experience. You don't feel like an intern, you feel like a valued and equal employee.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The relationships I built up with my colleagues were fantastic. The perfect balance between being proffessional mentors, as well as someone you could turn to for help.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There were 1 to 1 meetings every week to assess your progress and a mid internship review to reassess you goals and objectives.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was a wide variety of tasks set throughout the internship which kept me going throughout the 12 weeks. I was never lacking in things to do and always busy. But remember to be proactive in seeking out work as well, otherwise you might find yourself lacking.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given many independent projects to run, however, it was important to recognise that you cannot steal other people's thunder, and that you are as much an instrument in a team, as well as a leader.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt so many skills that will no doubt help me in my future career.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere is like none I've ever experienced. It was so inviting, yet proffessional. In general everyone is very foccussed on their work and are passionate about the cause.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • From the initial induction, right through to the final review, the internship was entirely seamless. It was brilliantly executed and would thoroughly recommend it.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given a mentor who has been invaluable. There was also a mid-internship CV and interview training workshop which was fantastic. You could also get involved in lots of different areas of the business, and could opt to try out another area for 2 weeks if you so wished.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare/Dental

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would very much like to work here in the future. They don't offer you a job straight away like with many other internships, but they do give you access to internal vacancies whilst your here, so you can apply with that added bonus of having a foot through the door!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Islington is a very lovely area, and I thoroughly enjoyed trying out the bars and restaurants during the evenings. The intern group tried to do something together once per week after work.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Islington is very expensive, but you get what you pay for. There are many cheap options as well though, and your lunch is subsidised so it's not too bad. Would recommend living away from here though, as rent will be a lot cheaper in Greater London.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • So much choice you won't get through it all in 12 weeks!

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The company tried to get you involved in as many things as possible!

    5/5
