The Role
Really enjoyable experience, met a lot of great people. Extremely high workload which was expected which inevitably added more pressure and stress. The intern class was the largest ever so competition for offers was huge changing a lot of people's behaviour in a negative way towards the end of the program. Overall I had a great time and learnt a lot.
I felt extremely valued in my first rotation but not so much in my second. Completely depends on where you are put.
The support is there as we were allocated 'buddies and deans' to help us. Completely up to you as to how often you use them.
Extremely busy. Very difficult to turn down projects from other desks when they ask you to do something even though you may have a hundred other projects to do. All about managing expectations. Some people ended up taking on too much stuff.
None on my second rotation, a lot on my first.
I cannot begin to explain how much I learnt over the 10 weeks. A lot of soft skills were honed which will help me in life, also my computer literacy exponentially increased to a ridiculous level by the end, meaning I could probably use excel now with my feet blindfolded.
The Company
Depends on the desk/ floor. Fixed Income were generally on tour a lot more and you could feel that on the floor. Other floors were much quieter, equities for example due to large culls and low volumes meaning everyone was generally a bit down and grumpy.
Extremely organised. However I think there should have been more scope to change rotations if it just was not working out at all.
A lot of investment.

The internship is a game which I didn't play right. Know how to do it for next time.
The Culture
Obviously some guys will go out more than others, but there was a lot of people who enjoyed a quick bevvie or two.
Extortionate. But it is the city.
London has a great nightlife.
Too much work.
