The Role
It was fantastic, there was a solid balance between work and play. The work was difficult but interesting and the social events were always amazing and well catered for.
This varied from desk to desk but provided you put the work in and use some creative thinking you can provide solutions that will be valuable to the team for the foreseeable future.
The buddy and dean system meant that you were always in contact with at least 2 people you could talk to about anything.
I was always busy with something to do and sometime this mean staying late into the night but it was what i expected.
Due to FSA regulations there is only so much you can do however, those things they did give you to do the let you take full control of the situation.
During my internship i gained many a skill most of which were confined to the work ethic and excel department however, it definitely had an impact on my social skills, my work accuracy and speed skills and finally my public speaking skills.
The Company
Energetic and always busy even during the off periods.
It was fantastic. The training was solid, the rotations were well thought out and the extra curricular activities were also were placed and structured.
Beyond the monetary investment, MS invested a lot of time into developing a plethora of skills. Beyond this many of the staff took a considerable amount of time out of there working day to discuss the markets and their life with you.

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Being in the financial sectors its obviously a very competitive environment however i felt that i performed up to the level i expected and can only hope there is a job at the end of it.
The Culture
If you were really up for it there was something on every night.
It was never going to be cheap however we were well funded so it wasn't a big issue. Rent seemed to be in the £160 a week ball park and a night out was about £50.
Very busy through out all hours of the day, good bars and clubs within a reasonable distance.
There were plenty of arranged events with charities. There were also a few sporting events that were held on a regular basis that let you interact with the staff during their leisure time.
