    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great environment to work in, great professionals with whom I have worked. Everything was nice, but for some things with which I have struggled regarding my project.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Being the only intern in my team was difficult, but they treated me as an equal and expected I do work as their equal (which could be hard as I am nowhere near their vast experience and knowledge).

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • For the first project I was given plenty of support due to the fact that I was working on something which was very familiar to my team, but for the second one, not so much as it was something new, external. That part got a bit frustrating as I couldn't really ask anyone and it wasn't the easiest job ever.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Fairly busy, I had a lunch break and then I pretty much worked all the time. (A few short breaks were obviously fine throughout the day).

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I wouldn't say that much, but it was more than I would have expected. I have been workings on some sensitive stuff and it felt good I could be trusted with it.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed will be helpful, undoubtedly, but they were very specific (which is always the case when doing an internship). Thus, if I continue doing roughly the same things as I have been doing, then they will be very helpful.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fun is not what I would call it, but it was definitely relaxed or informal. People worked quite hard, so not too many jokes, but they were very glad to help you if needed.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Not too many things to say about this - the organizers did a very good job overall.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I think they invested quite a lot or a lot more than other firms do. We have had a lot of training hours and talks throughout the internship which helped us gain a better understanding of the business we worked in.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Company Parties/Events

    Working from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I am still waiting for a response. I don''t want to make any predictions.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I think it was alright, the interns got along nicely and we went out a few times.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • In London, you can easily meet a lot of people, but it gets very expensive.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I guess London's nightlife could be considered one of the best, but I am not a big fan, so..

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, London.

    5/5
