The Role
Very dynamic and interesting place to work. lots of oppurtunities to shadow many different job roles, meet people from different teams and training oppurtunities.
Everyone is extremely friendly and took me under thier wing immediatly. I feel I can ask them any questions and they will give me the time to help me with problems. As the internship progressed I gained more and omre responsibility which made me feel more valued.
I have been sat right next to my manager who is very patient and answers any questions I have very thoroughly. He also suggested further courses and reading to enhance my knowledge and performance.
I had a list of day to day tasks, and as I became more efficient at completing them I took on extra projects and looked into how I could improve systems.
The more you develop, the more you can take on. I had the chance to run an insight day for other interns to visit our office. I felt I had a large piece of responsibility and enjoyed the project management.
it will help me learn how to stay focussed throughout the day when I return to university. I have gained time management skills, experience of working in a global company as well as a team and improved my project management skills - all important skills for a successful career.
The Company
Hard working, but my team have been very fun and we can have a laugh too.
I sat down with my manager and outlined what I wanted out of the internship and what he wanted out of me. I created a personal development programe and identified training and skills I wished to develope over the intership and how to complete them.
my team were very encouraging of me to take part in any training course I wanted.

Working from home
graduate assessment centre at the end of the internship. have the chace to talk to current graduates and seek advice and guidance on which graduate scheme to apply for.
The Culture
We were thrown together at intern drinks and dinners and have built up a network and meet up socially after work most weeks.
Living in london is expensive, so this, I guess is one downside... however living in London is a great experience that shouldnt be missed!
Central London clubs to cheaper pubs and clubs on the outskirts. Canary Wharf has many restaurants and bars so easy to socialise after work until late in the evening. Easy transport connections also helps greatly.
I think it depends if you meet the right people. Especially if you meet graduates who will invite you along to things. I will be gettting involved with the BP sailing.
