  • Responsibility was ideal. There are room to try your approach. Some responsibility includes reviewing other people work, but there is always someone else double checking my work

  • Above expectation. My line manager & supervisor provided enough information to get me started. It was easy to ask for help from other discipline expert. Everyone is supportive and helpful and answers any questions, even questions about careers/advice

  • Supportive. Everyone is very understanding. Some are busy but they are willing to spend time teaching/chatting with you.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Yes, I was given a lot of freedom on how I could approach my task. Approach I took was backed with reasoning and my line manager was very supportive and would advise otherwise if the approach was too far fetch. There is no set in stone method/approach and this really allows me to be creative and explore other options

  • Yes


  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to bp
  • Do not worry about technical knowledge. If you are willing to learn, everyone is willing to talk/chat with you. They will either point you in the right direction or explain to you. bp is a very diverse company, there is a lot of different discipline and it is great to have a chat with as many people as you can to get an idea of what each discipline does
