The Role
I found the experience invaluable.
From day one working on my project my colleagues were very welcoming. They were always willing to help and were very friendly. I was lucky to be involved in a team exercise on my second day which was clay pigeon shooting.
If I ever had any questions everyone would always try to help me regardless, if it was something they knew themselves. I never had any difficulties asking questions either as all my colleagues were so welcoming.
I was always set enough tasks to keep me busy and well occupied.
My project was the initial stages of a very large project. I felt responsible that my work could impact the project as whole. I would like to have contributed more however this would have required many more weeks that what were not available. Therefore I was happy with the responsibility I was given as a whole.
I feel I will take on board everything I have learnt in to my future career and my degree.
The Company
Everyone got on really well together.
I feel it was structured well on a weekly basis. The only suggestion I would make would be extending the work placement, so that future students could work for longer on a project.
We went on a course that was very expensive so we were lucky to be given the training for free.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I really enjoyed my time at SAS and would definitely view them as a potential employee in the future.
The Culture
Everyone got on really well together and we spent some evenings together at the cinema and went out for dinner.
Marlow is an expensive area. We socialised in High Wycombe which had a good variety of shops and entertainment.
