The Role
The work was enjoyable and related to my university work veyr well
Once settled into the company I was welcomed very well
Management ensured that I had work to do and that I was given any necessary support/training
I was really busy some days, then quite on others, so overall would have liked to be busier
When I was in the analysis department, I was given very little, however, in the materials department, I had a lot of responsibilty with me primarily being the only one working on the project.
Helped me appreciated why things are done, and provide an industrial knowledge that could be applied to improve my degree
The Company
Good working atmosphere, yet not that fun
Well organised, with all my training needs met, and being able to move roles withing my placement.
Invested in training, and also encouraged and motivated me with chartership
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
I am unclear on if I have a job wth the company at the moment, however, alot of the previous undergraduates have been offered jobs upon graduation.
The Culture
Very good social life, lots of young graduates, some undergraduates, making a good social scene.
Costs were expensive in comparison to University and back home (north) however they were relatively cheap considering the proximity to london.
Lots of pubs and clubs, however, the types of people were not the most welcoming/friendly.
Plenty opportunities to join sport clubs or participate in other activities
