  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • 5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone from trainees to partners took time to explain what they were working on and answer questions about the firm.

  • My supervisors gave me lots of advice about the work I was doing, so I understood the context of each case.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was given enough work to keep me busy all day but I never felt like I would struggle to finish everything in time.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given work that the trainees were also doing, which gave me a real feel of what it would be like to have a training contract there.

  • I have learnt valuable lessons during my time here which will be useful in my future career.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • On Friday afternoons at 3pm there was an office-wide quiz which was fun and got everyone to have a break!

  • It was very well organised from start to finish.

  • We were given a very useful negotiations skills workshop.

  • We were all interviewed at the end of the scheme for a job.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As well as the social events organised by the scheme, we organised to have drinks after work several times.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was lucky to be able to stay with a friend for free as others found the rent very expensive.

  • There are lots of bars just outside the office which are always busy after work.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We had several social events organised for us. A few of the boys got involved in sport.
