    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall it has been a good experience, which I don't regret doing it.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I think I had a good relationship with every employee.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Manager as well as the Managing Director were very helpful at all times and I got a great deal of support from them. Just the same all the other BDMs were very understanding and helpful.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most of the day we had something to do and managing our time and sharing the responsibilities and tasks with my colleague was an important part of the job - and certainly a useful skill.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • With every big issue my manager was always there to help and guide, more so in the beginning of the placement, but after a few months I would say that me and my colleague we were experienced enough to deal with a lot of issues ourselves alone.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very useful for learning a certain part of Illustrator and Photoshop but I would add to that the process of getting acquainted whit a professional environment and learning how to act accordingly - as skill useful after uni just as well.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Our manager was paying a lot of attention to all our needs as placement students and was taking care of all aspects from accommodation to office problems.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • For my job role, the training has been an ongoing process. But I did get an introductory training session when I started, presenting all the major points that I should be aware of.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • For my job role there isn't a permanent spot.

    2/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I got along with almost all of the students and had a great time with them.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Considering the wage, I would say it was on the limit. Just enough for a weekly socializing sesh.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It was OK.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • London is quite close, and Reading but other than that Maidenhead alone I would say is pretty small with not so many opportunities.

    3/5
