  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It had highs and lows but was ultimately a very enjoyable experience.

  • The majority of the team definitely valued my input, which was nice.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager/supervisor was absolutely fantastic, and would regularly book meetings to give me some tips and see how I was getting on.

  • Very busy. While the work was often stressful, I guess it's always better to be busy than bored.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had an asset management internship, meaning I was constantly required to satisfy requests for different members of staff every day..

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • These are definitely some skills for life. While I may not pursue this particular job in future, it's definitely given me vital work skills in order to do a good job in a different area in later life.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The majority of the staff were happy, bubbly and not stressed. A good atmos all round.

  • I had a full years' job which actually benefitted the company, definitely a well organised placement.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They put a lot of faith in me, which was definitely very appreciated.

  • Staff Sales/Staff Shop

  • Very appealing - provided its in an area that I'm definitely interested in pursuing as a full time career.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yep! There were drinks usually twice a week with team/friends/other interns. Occasionally there'd be nights out - very good.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's reasonable - neither here nor there. The canteen in Chiswick isn't particularly well subsidized though.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not great - although as it's London it's close to various other places with significantly better night life.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yep! Plenty, thanks to the Yellow Coat organisation who set themselves up every week in Chiswick business park.
