    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Support main PM function strategy for the year ahead. Implemented dashboard to streamline performance metric. Conducted root cause analyse workshop to create improvement plan to reach functional targets Co-ordinated pm training plan for the year. Monitor RIO tools/metric Managed my own in project to help achieve goals step in strategy for the year. Took time too part take in developmental opportunities (mentoring, workshop, site visit)

  • - developed my project managment skill as got to work with others on internal project to streamline existing process. Also got to manage my own projects - increased my confidence as got the opportunities to present to senior leader and wider team on a variety of projects/topics - Developed my excel skill by getting evolved with project that heavy use this software - developed my understand about pucurement/supply chain

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • LOADS!! My manager believed in me and gave me my own projects to manage and opportunities to work with other. I was able to present to more senior individual on my own without being micromanaged. I was trusted to get work done on my own without needed to be monitor which gave me a great sense of responsibility. I was main point of contact for individuals needing help in specific areas.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • - Mandatory was provided and kept update through out the year - developmental opportunities was provided in the form of training to get a better understand of role/process - Manager and wider team happy to help if you need something. If they can't help they will reach out or pin point you to someone who can - if you struggling you can reach out to grad buddies, early careers or manager for extra support

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Team culture was amazing. Very supportive and layback! Wider culture quite corporate can be very intimidating for someone in there early career journeys. But mostly everyone friendly

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Learnt a lot of skills which will help me in the future. Soft skills and technical skills. Learnt what kinda of work I like and do not like. Gain advice how to navigated moving forward. Overall placement was enjoyable because I had a manager who I could trust and supported me when I was overthinking.

  • Your points and opinions are valuable! Boeing is growing and changing so you have lots of opportunities to grow and develop. The interview process is less intimidating than others that I have participate in. So as long as your being your self and enjoying process you will do great!
