    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Daily reporting- updating excel files and submitting these for review. Making any adjustments requested throughout the day and then submitting the final version of the file at the end of the day. Weekly reporting- taking a more in depth look at figures from databases and excel and analysing any movements and why they have taken place.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have developed problem solving, communication and excel skills throughout this internship. There were many opportunities to develop these skills on the job or attend seminars or workshops that target these transferrable skills. • The company culture is great, there were many events organised by the finance committee to step away from the desk, have some fun and network across finance. At times the work load in the office could be high and people would stay late but there was never any pressure on interns to stay late and everyone was more than willing to help me or give me some of their time.
