    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I felt I was given responsibility by actively reaching out to members and helping the team draft responses to consultations, alert members. I was able to help analyse consultations and assist the team on subject areas that were not needed and was continuously made to feel part of the team. My main project will be used to inform members of ESG reporting requirements in the industry, which I feel is very rewarding.

Throughout our internship, we were given a mentor to advise us on our personal development whilst we are here, and also given placement buddies. Line managers were always happy to help and I had regular, frequent meetings to talk about my progress.

You will frequently speak to those outside of your team, and the ABI puts effort into making sure that employees are cared about.
