  • Yes, I am a lot more knowledgeable on private healthcare and related policies. I have also developed personal skills, such as effective work and time management.

  • How much responsibility you get depends on the team you are in. I happened to be in a team that had a lot of tasks to do, so I was given many responsibilities in comparison to the other interns.

  • I received a lot of support as my supervisor was very involved and gave me as much help as I needed.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture was brilliant as everyone was very helpful and kind overall. There can be times were there might be too much work involved but I was always welcome to say whether I had too much/too little work.

  • I enjoyed it a lot as it was new experience for me. As everyone was so friendly, I also enjoyed the internship on a personal level and not just for professional reasons.

  • I would advise to research the organisation as much as possible before, during and after the application process as it can be tricky to understand what role the ABI has in insurance if you are not familiar with the industry.
