    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, from the second week on the desk, I was writing the first drafts of presentations for clients, and otherwise worked on projects / emails / market updates which I often sent directly to clients. Internally, I also covered for people when they were away, and liaised with several different desks within debt capital markets.

  • My team were available to answer any questions I had on the tasks I was assigned. After I had completed a project, my team always checked it, and gave me clear comments on what could be improved. Through this support and guidance, I was able to clarify points of uncertainty, and the comments after each draft enabled me to improve my overall presentation skills.
