    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I create marketing materials to support Healthcare professionals and patients. I also create materials for corporate sponsorships. I work on optimising the website and digital presence. Within the team I facilitate cross-functional meetings and working so that we are all aligned on priorities and strategy.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Studying a biomedical science degree has honed my ability to apply logical and critical thinking when approaching problems.I have developed this when solving problems using both a structured workshop style in Somavert XFT and within my projects on a day to day basis. I have explored data visualisation approaches for presenting Somavert sales performance. I have developed my leadership skills bringing energy and enthusiasm to leading the cross-functional team.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes I was given a large amount of accountability and ownership over my work. I was given large projects to lead and deliver. Additionally I was given opportunities to work with the wider business unit within both the digital and people workstream to bring best practices and planning business wide meetings.

  • I had a large amount of support from all the team especially my line manager who I had regular one to ones, I also had low risk learning opportunities such as regular presentations and was able to give and receive feedback.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • There was a real sense of community were the team both supported and encouraged each other. Regular social activities took place. The culture was high performing and to be focusing on the highest impact and priority tasks
