    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I attend meetings with my team that I was placed into - specialist customer care. The meetings discuss efficiencies in customer care, service levels and complaints. Alongside that I am working on a project to improve service levels so I look over and analyze forecast data.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have increased my excel knowledge dramatically, I feel much more confident using the software. Alongside this I have attended financial markets training which helped progress my knowledge of current affairs and goals. Furthermore I have spent my spare time enhancing data science and statistics skills on Linkedin learning which we are given access to.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a large amount of responsibility as I helped create slideshows for meetings with hundreds of attendees and created emails to be sent out to the whole office which was an exciting opportunity and I was glad to be given those roles as it made me more confident and driven to produce better results.

  • The atmosphere was lovely, I was in a very friendly and chatty team which made me feel very welcome with even the managing directors being approachable and helpful.

  • Be yourself and be friendly, and make sure to remember the STAR (situation, task, action, result) method for interviews it really helped me stay calm and confident throughout my assessment center.
